Port Everglades has eight cruise terminals, and which one you use depends on your ship. They are spread across two areas of the port, and assignments can shift within days of sailing during the busy winter, so the most important thing to know is this: confirm your terminal with your cruise line before you leave, not from an old web page. Here is how the port is laid out.

The eight cruise terminals

The usual line assignments as scheduled for the 2026 season. Always confirm your terminal in your cruise documents — it can change ship by ship.

Terminal 4NorthportDisney (long-term home)
Terminal 18MidportRoyal Caribbean (large ships)
Terminal 19MidportHolland America
Terminal 21MidportHolland America and Princess
Terminal 25MidportCelebrity
Terminal 26MidportHolland America
Terminal 29MidportCarnival and rotating lines

Terminals 2 and 4 sit in the Northport area at the north end of the port; Terminals 18, 19, 21, 25, 26 and 29 are clustered in Midport along the main channel, where the largest ships dock. The whole port is compact — a few minutes end to end — but on a peak Saturday with several mega-ships turning around, the roads in and out get busy, so the terminal you are headed to affects which entrance and lane you want.

Why assignments move

Cruise lines hold preferential berths rather than permanent ones. Royal Caribbean Group ships (Royal Caribbean and Celebrity) favor the Midport terminals, Disney has a long-term home at Terminal 4, and Princess and Holland America work the others — but the exact terminal for your specific sailing is scheduled ship by ship and can change, especially in the crowded winter season. Treat any line-to-terminal list, including this one, as the usual pattern rather than a fixed rule.

Finding your terminal on the day

Your cruise line assigns and publishes your embarkation terminal in your cruise documents, usually a week or two out. That is the number to trust. Put it in your phone, tell your driver the terminal number (not just “Port Everglades”), and watch for it on the port's signage as you come in — the terminals are numbered, not named for lines. If you are driving, the parking garage or lot nearest your terminal is the one to aim for; see the parking guide.

Getting there from the house

From the house it is a short, familiar drive: down to the port road and in at the terminal, about fifteen minutes on a clear morning and longer on a busy winter Saturday when several big ships turn around at once. Our last-mile guide has the timing and the drop-off.

For the airport connection, FLL is about ten minutes from the port — see airport to Port Everglades — and the whole pre-cruise plan is in the pre-cruise stay guide.

Questions people ask

How many cruise terminals does Port Everglades have?

Eight: Terminals 2 and 4 in the Northport area, and Terminals 18, 19, 21, 25, 26 and 29 in Midport along the main channel where the largest ships dock. The port is compact, but knowing your terminal number matters for drop-off and parking.

Which terminal does my cruise line use at Port Everglades?

As a general pattern for 2026: Princess at Terminal 2, Disney at Terminal 4, Royal Caribbean's large ships at Terminal 18, Holland America around Terminals 19, 21 and 26, Celebrity at Terminal 25, and Carnival and others at Terminal 29. Assignments are scheduled ship by ship and can change, so confirm the terminal in your cruise documents.

Do Port Everglades terminal assignments change?

Yes. Cruise lines hold preferential berths rather than permanent ones, and the exact terminal for a given sailing is scheduled per ship and can shift within days, especially in the busy winter season. The number your cruise line publishes in your documents is the one to trust.

How do I find my cruise terminal on sailing day?

Your cruise line publishes your embarkation terminal in your cruise documents, usually a week or two before sailing. Use that number, give it to your driver, and follow the port's numbered signage. The terminals are numbered, not labeled by cruise line.

How far is Port Everglades from the airport and the house?

FLL airport is about ten minutes from the port, and Turtle Nest Bungalow is about fifteen minutes. That short distance on both ends is why so many cruise passengers fly into Fort Lauderdale and stay a night nearby before sailing.
